Any Comparsion??

You know if you are going to try various things that are similar then you really need to start at the bottom and work your way up. This past weekend we ventured out to try a new water park. Even though it was lots of fun for the kids I heard the comment on a number of occasions "This isn't the same as Kalahari, I want to go to Kalahari". We visited Splash Bay at the Holiday Inn in Maumee, Ohio and it is a major mini version of Kalahari. I think the kids made their rounds to all three water slides in less then 10 minutes and that was climbing numberous stairs to get there. However, after I explained that this is what we were getting they finally got with the show and had a wonderful time. We stayed at the Days Inn which leaves a lot to be desired but the cost of the water pass was included in the price of the hotel and since there would be little time spent in the room I guess it was ok. The kids were way too tired to realize how uncomfortable the bed was and that even with the air conditioner running it was very humid in that room. We had cupcakes to continue the celebration of Bella's birthday and had everyone sing "Happy Birthday" to her thanks to Ashley. Bella loved it and so did all the other kids there. Those able to join in the fun was Ashley, Scott, Derrin, Makiya, MoJo, Jenni, Kenzie, Morgan, Mason, Brayden, Heather, Julius, Demitrius, Bella, Kenny, Kalee, Britenee, myself and Bill showed up later that night mainly because Brayden's night blanket was left behind and there was no way he was going to sleep without it. The top first picture is Demitrius dropping out of this video below.

LOL Maybe that should be Silly Sister instead of Sassy Sister! ;-) LOL Those kids are pretty bright ... why settle for a Hors D'oeuvres dog on a toothpick when there's a huge old summer sausage sitting on the table top?

It sounds like everyone had a super time in spite of the minimal features. It is so wonderful that we can "share the fun" with all of you through the blog! luvu
