More of the Beautiful Snow Scenes

The icicles are just a reminder of how cold it really is. They knocked the larger ones (yes there were some bigger then here) down for safety reasons.

The patio table on the back deck you can see how much snow there is with the opening in the middle. I love to look at the snow but honestly I think we have had more then enough of this snow stuff and I am so looking forward to the camping season to get here.

This is the path that was cleared so that I could have access to the ramp but look at the entrance to the pool deck here. Don't even think the gate will open at this time.

Remember the big beautiful pool in the back yard that so many had fun in over the summer months? Can you find it in this picture it really is out there somewhere. The jumping platform in the far right hand corner is an indicator of where it is.

January 09 Sledding Fun

Those of us back here with the actual major snowfall can really appreciate and admire such a beautiful picture that you posted. However, in all reality here is just a little of what the fun actually is with all the snow and I am sure some of the wonderful memories that you shared. I am sure that this video will bring back a few more pleasurable memories instead of the walking in the snow with no shoes in order to have dry ones by the time you arrived at school.

Happy 11th Birthday Britenee

But, how can everyone forget my birthday! Britenee was so upset about mid afternoon thinking that everyone had actually forgot her birthday because there was nothing done and it didn't seem like anything was really planned or happening for her special day. Well, as you can see the mood changed when she found out that there was very special things planned but unfortunately not until later that evening.
Everyone had a wonderful time as we celebrated Brit's special day.
Happy Birthday Britenee Love ya.

Build A Bear Friend

I had been promising Bella that I would take her to Build-A-Bear for a long time. Well, last week we had to go to the mall to get some things for Britenee's birthday and since we were there I decided to keep my word and Bella, Momma (Heather) and I went into the shop. You know she may only be four years old but let me tell you once her mind is made up there is no changing it. I tried very hard to talk her out of getting the furry friend that she picked out but there was no way it was happening. So on we went to do the rest of the venture. She stuffed the monkey, pounced around and gave lots of love to a heart before it was placed with lots of care into the monkey. Then it was down to give it a nice warm bath and dry her off. Next was decisions of all decisions to pick out an outfit amoung the 100's that were available. It was a little kids delight to have so many too choose from. Then there was the dressing table which will really explain why some little ones look the way they do because they are so hell bent on dressing their self and that is exactly what Bella did there was no way that Heather or I was going to tell her how to go about dressing "HER" baby! The store helper was able to finally talk Bella into letting her lend a hand. Then we went to the computer to register her baby and make out the Birth Certificate and since we were not done at the mall and it was a long way around she was able to talk her way into a stroller (I personally tried to talk her into the wheelchair but Bella said one of us was enough!). So here is the final proud Bella with her new furry friend "Gracie Angel"

Kids Having Fun

Look out trouble!! The girls (Kalee, Kenzy, Morgan and Britenee) love when they have a change to get together and just hang out with each other. Here they were showing off thinking they were all that at the "Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser". There was not a very good turn out but as you can see here all the kids had a great time.

Mason was not going to be left out with his moves either so here he gives it his best.

Off To Kalahari 1st Visit of Year

We are off to Kalahari for the first time in the new year. This is actually an extended Christmas gift for quite a few that have never been here and just plain excitment for those that have been in the pass. There are 26 of us scheduled to go. Hope everyone is able to join us. Updates will follow soon after our return sometime tomorrow.
Well, as it turned out it was a rather challenging venture to get to Kalahari as we had major snow storm that hit. There was a total of four vehicles that were on the way two were about half hour ahead of us. Heather and myself were one exit away from getting off the turnpike and Heather hit black ice and spun out of control. It was very fortunate that she did not make contact with any of the other vehicles on the road including a semi. She did however go bouncing off on two wheels into the ditch. Everyone in the car was ok and no one was hurt thank goodness. Originally they were going to try to dig the car out and go from there but there was a lot more damage to the car then we had originally seen as the tire was completely off and it wasn't going anywhere without a tow. We put everyone in my van and after the Highway Patrol was there and making sure that everything was ok I went on to get everyone delivered to Kalahari. Julius waited with the car until the tow driver got there almost a hour and half later (JP was freezing) and then the car was brought to Kalahari also. We got a tow back to Toledo for the car the next day.
After time for everyone to recover and be thankful for the safety all all we went on to have a great visit. Let's see there was Mojo, Dominic, Robin, Emma, Alayna, Jenni, Bill, Kenzy, Morgan, Mason, Brayden, Ashley, Scott, Derrin, Makiya, Heather, Julius, Demitrius, Isabella, Kalee, Britenee, Melinda, Madison, Marianna and Me. This is the first time that Jenni and her family and Marianna had ever been there. Just in case anyone was wondering what a lot of the group was looking at there in the corner where some are standing with their mouth hanging open, Jenni has fallen down between the group there that is why she isn't in the picture and has caused all the excitement in that corner. Yes, she was alright just a little embarrassed.

More to come~~

What Happens In Heaven??

This is one of the nicest e-mails I have seen and is so true:

I dreamt that I went to Heaven and an angel was showing me around.

We walked side-by-side inside a large workroom filled with angels.

My angel guide stopped in front of the first section and said, 'This is the Receiving Section.

Here, all petitions to God said in prayer are received.

I looked around in this area, and it was terribly busy with so many angels sorting out petitions written on voluminous paper sheets and scraps from people all over the world.

Then we moved on down a long corridor until we reached the second section.

The angel then said to me, 'This is the Packaging and Delivery Section.

Here, the graces and blessings the people asked for are processed and delivered to the living persons who asked for them.' I noticed again how busy it was there.

There were many angels working hard at that station, since so many blessings had been requested and were being packaged for delivery to Earth.

Finally at the farthest end of the long corridor we stopped at the door of a very small station.

To my great surprise, only one angel was seated there, idly doing nothing.

'This is the Acknowledgment Section,' my angel friend quietly admitted to me.

He seemed embarrassed 'How is it that there is no work going on here?' I asked.

'So sad,' the angel sighed.

'After people receive the blessings that they asked for, very few send back acknowledgments.

'How does one acknowledge God's blessings?' I asked.

'Simple,' the angel answered.

Just say, 'Thank you, Lord.

'What blessings should they acknowledge?' I asked.

'If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof overhead and a place to sleep you are richer than 75% of this world.

If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare change in a dish, you are among the top 8% of the world's wealthy.

'And if you get this on your own computer, you are part of the 1% in the world who has that opportunity.

'If you woke up this morning with more health than illness ...you are more blessed than the many who will not even survive this day.

'If you have never experienced the fear in battle, the loneliness of imprisonment, the agony of torture, or the pangs of starvation ... you are ahead of 700 million people in the world.

'If you can attend a church without the fear of harassment, arrest, torture or death you are envied by, and more blessed than, three billion people in the world '

'If your parents are still alive and still married ....you are very rare.

'If you can hold your head up and smile, you are not the norm, you're unique to all those in doubt and despair.

Ok, what now? How can I start?

If you can read this message, you just received a double blessing in that someone was thinking of you as very special and you are more blessed than over two billion people in the world who cannot read at all.

Have a good day, count your blessings, and if you want, pass this along to remind everyone else how blessed we all are.

ATTENTION:

Acknowledge Dept.

'Thank you Lord, for giving me the ability to share this message and for giving me so many wonderful people to share it with.

If you have read this far, and are thankful for all that you have been blessed with, how can you not send it on???? I thank God for everything, especially all my family and friends!!

What Kind Of Woman Are You

Lovely Lady

You are lovely and caring. You help others and spread out a lot of sympathy. Your life aim maybe is to serve the people. But your weakness is that you forget about yourself, your own needs. All your time is hold back for your friends and family. You are always there for people in trouble. Ready for any emergency. You make a lot of sacrifices just to be a good human. But every woman has her needs, her longings and a destiny. Don't loose yourself in work or curing other people's souls. You will have your own problems in your life. Another problem is that you don't say your opinion when it's right and important to say it. People trample onto your soul if you are always so kind and lovely and helpful. They will play on you. Though you should try to relax more and enjoy your life, you should not loose the gift that was given to you to help others . Not everyone is created this way... You are uniqe and rare!

Bert!!!! Are you Kidding Me!!

You Are Bert

Extremely serious and a little eccentric, people find you lovable - even if you don't love them!

You are usually feeling: Logical - you rarely let your emotions rule you

You are famous for: Being smart, a total neat freak, and maybe just a little evil

How you life your life: With passion, even if your odd passions (like bottle caps and pigeons) are baffling to others
