Any Comparsion??

You know if you are going to try various things that are similar then you really need to start at the bottom and work your way up. This past weekend we ventured out to try a new water park. Even though it was lots of fun for the kids I heard the comment on a number of occasions "This isn't the same as Kalahari, I want to go to Kalahari". We visited Splash Bay at the Holiday Inn in Maumee, Ohio and it is a major mini version of Kalahari. I think the kids made their rounds to all three water slides in less then 10 minutes and that was climbing numberous stairs to get there. However, after I explained that this is what we were getting they finally got with the show and had a wonderful time. We stayed at the Days Inn which leaves a lot to be desired but the cost of the water pass was included in the price of the hotel and since there would be little time spent in the room I guess it was ok. The kids were way too tired to realize how uncomfortable the bed was and that even with the air conditioner running it was very humid in that room. We had cupcakes to continue the celebration of Bella's birthday and had everyone sing "Happy Birthday" to her thanks to Ashley. Bella loved it and so did all the other kids there. Those able to join in the fun was Ashley, Scott, Derrin, Makiya, MoJo, Jenni, Kenzie, Morgan, Mason, Brayden, Heather, Julius, Demitrius, Bella, Kenny, Kalee, Britenee, myself and Bill showed up later that night mainly because Brayden's night blanket was left behind and there was no way he was going to sleep without it. The top first picture is Demitrius dropping out of this video below.

Happy 4th Birthday Gracie

We had a wonderful turn out for Gracie's Birthday party at Chuck E Cheese. You know anymore you really have to be a kid to enjoy that place because I personally do not like nor do I enjoy the place anymore. It is just not what it was at one time and there is really no fun left in it because even as you are trying to leave and cash in the winning tickets that you may have been fortunate enough to acquire, it still is not enough to cover the cost of the items on display that starts another whole issue with the kids as you are trying to leave because not they see all this other cheap merchandise on the shelves that the employees are trying to market with the few tickets that a child might have. They find what they want and lo and behold they don't have enough tickets for it and you end up pulling out more money to buy something from the shelve that isn't worth the value of the pay for the person putting it on the shelf!! Anyhow enough of that soapbox crap, Gracie did have a wonderful time and many family and friends showed to wish her a happy birthday. There to help celebrate was Mommy, Daddy, brother, Demitrius; cousins, Marianna, Kalee, Britenee, Brayden, Mason, Morgan, Makiya, Derrin, Emma, Alayna, Robin, Dominic, Scott, Jenni, Ashley, Scott; Hoppa and Grandma; Grandma Liz; Busia and Lou; Uncles, Rudy, Basil, Ahmad, Matt, Nick, Zac; Aunts, Devin and CoCo; Friends, Alecia and Isaiah; Kenny and Jacob; and Nana I think this is everyone (I hope I didn't forget anyone). It was lots of fun having every

Happy Birthday Big Sassy Sister

You know that have always said that you can pick your friends and so on and so on but I have been blessed with not only a great friend but a wonderful sister. The only thing that is wrong with the picture is that there are too many miles and too few visits over the years. But let me assure you that this past summer was one of the best we have had in many years. Those memories will last forever you added so much more fun to the events. I love you so very much and hope you have a very blessed and HAPPY BIRTHDAY. Love you very much

Campground Dunk Tank Fun

Demitrius was the first to try his luck in the Dunk Tank and had a blast doing it. It didn't take long for Kalee and Britenee to sign up for their turn in the tank and needless to say Gracie was way too little for the tank but she sure did give it her best to put each of them in the water. It was great because she was able to make sure they all got wet!! It was a great day of fun.

NEW TOY

The excitement is set and now we need to find a place to safely ride the new 4-wheeler. Demitrius is still too small to ride it on his own but I am sure it won't take long for him to grow into it. Gracie was just excited to get the chance to ride it.
